About Cloke

With the changing of fashions, the decision was made in the early 1990s to manufacture sweatshirts and hoodies.  Although such garments were readily available in retail, the brandable apparel market was in its infancy.  Utilising a generation of apparel expertise, the first Aurora hoodies were born – ready to screenprint or embroider, and high quality to boot.

Today, the range has broadened and evolved to become, quite possibly, NZ’s premier brand-ready sweatshirt and outerwear label.   We’ve come a long way, however certain things haven’t changed over the years – our dedication to quality, our passion for design, and our committal to simply making fantastic garments.
Banbury Clothing represents the Aurora and Cloke brand.

We are very selective in choosing factories.  In our opinion, supporting the factories that look after their workers is the single most effective step clothing companies can take to ensure ethical manufacturing wins.  It’s simple really; more business to the caring factories enables them to employ people that previously worked at the unethical ones.  If enough of us insist on this, together we can bring change and improvement to those thousands of lives.

We have set out the WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) 12 Principles as minimum requirements for our partner factories in Asia.
